Features include Hot Zone which tells you your batting average when you swing at pitches in each particular zone. The Spray Chart shows the hitter where each ball put in play went. This valuable information can pin point possible flaws in the swing, or just show which part of the field you have the most success. The stats feature gives you the ability to see your statistics from all teams combined or broken down by one particular team. Statistics along with the spray chart and hot zone are meant to tell you WHY the statistics are what they are. Easy-to-use and completely organized, This is a ballplayers dream no matter what the age and as a coach, i recommend it to all my college and travel-league players.
Nice app for baseball coaches. One suggestion- you should be able to email or share the spray chart.
At first review I thought this would be a great app. However, when using it I found several problems. My sons first at bat was a fielders choice, however, this isnt listed as an at bat option. I had to choose ground out so right off the bat the stats are off as an on base was not recorded. Second, and third at bats want ok but I pressed next at bat and the game ended before the next at bat came around. I could not end the game without entering another at bat, so again the stats are wrong. I have several baseball apps on my iPhone and this one was a real disappointment. It has great potential but I find it was built on superficial baseball starts and nice graphics rather than designed by true baseball coaches to support baseball players. At least include all the scoring options. I just find it to be an app of opportunity rather than an app that gets to the core of baseball improvement. Hopefully future updates will fix these obvious over sites.
